Writer's Block: B.Y.O.B. Holidays
I feel that the world would be a better place if all children had loving and caring parents. And I wouldn't even put a bunch of expectations on them either. Parents can be gay or straight. Religious or secular. Married or not. Rich or poor. Adoptive or biological. Just that they put their children first, care about their well being, and love them. They wouldn't have to be perfect. They can still make mistakes- raise their voices once in a while, miss an important event, expect too much or too little on occasion.
I feel that solving this one problem would have a domino affect on other problems affecting the world. But even if not, would have a huge impact on the lives of children and that would make it more than worth it.
