Oh boy. I just rewatched the 1982 tv movie adaptation of Ivanhoe for the first time in years, and was transported back to the ninth grade when this film first broke my heart. Ok, I'm outing myself as an unabashed Jane Eyre fangirl here, but I just got back from the movie theater, where I saw the first ever showing of Cary Fukunaga's new Jane Eyre movie after waiting two whole weeks past the film's release date for it to come to this stinking town.  And it was good!  Hallelujah!
