Life as it is...
I'm currently dating my best friend in the whole world after he confessed to me that he's completely fallen for me. Things are going well yet we're taking things very slowly, being sure not to repeat any of the mistakes I made with the former flame.
I took up an administrative assistant position for a woman who jointly runs eNako (
http://www.enako.com) and Elsewhere gallery (
http://www.elsewhere.com) out of the same office space. The boring part is eNako, where I process reports and QC temperature calibrations, the fun part is coding for the art gallery website and updating the artist inventory and databases. I also get to dress up and pour wine at gallery parties once every month.
My other job, GuerillaPR, had a lull in work for awhile due to my boss being screwed over by various campaign deadlines. Just the other day, he sent me an e-mail that essentially stated that there is a shitload of work again and he wants me back as a researcher. He also said, "We just found out we won a huge award that I'll have to tell you about for www.guerillapr.com/bamboo where we won Social Media Firm of 2007. The ceremony is tomorrow. I'll send you the details. We also really did a great job, thanks to you and Bo and Cory for iChapters www.guerillapr.com/ichapters/winners.html."
I briefly chatted with my co-worker/friend Bo at GPR and he basically said that they really want me back there again because, as he said in his own words, "You do better research than anybody else in the office." He also strongly recommended that I request for higher pay from Michael... so essentially, I could be working 6 days a week at two easy-going jobs that would be paying $15 and $16 hourly. Sweet? I think so.
I've been in San Francisco a lot plus I was in Santa Cruz last weekend. I'm reconnecting with a lot of old friends and folks from the past and it feels good. I've gone 100% vegetarian and I've stopped drinking dairy entirely, I've given up drinking minus beer and wine, and I rarely ever smoke pot anymore.
Life is grand!
