It's ch_astronomy, back from the dead!
Hello all! I apologize for being dead for the entire last term and most of the term before, but as I'm sure a lot of you can relate, my life got completely crazy and I had basically no time for anything outside of my school work. But summer has become my safe haven, and therefore
ch_astronomy is coming back bigger and better than ever!
The very first assignment for this term will be a massive clean-out. ALL users currently listed as members of the
ch_astronomy community will be deleted, but only as a formality. Anybody, new or old, who wishes to become a member of the class must fill out the survey that follows. Filling out the survey will award you and automatic 5 points toward your house, and your name will be immediately added to the class roster. For any information regarding the structure of the class, homework policy, points policy, etc., please visit the community's Community Info page.

For those of you who are new, what are you hoping to learn?

I'm asking that all surveys be turned in no later than Friday, June 15, 2007, 11:55 PM E/T. During this two-week period, I still plan to have assignments posted for those of you who have completed the welcome survey. For those of you who exceed the two-week time period, you can still fill out the survey found under the "Newcomers" section of the Community Profile. Be aware that if you exceed the two-week period for the Welcome Survey and fill out the survey attached to the community's profile, no points will be awarded to your survey, although you will still receive full membership.
Apart from this post, all assignments in this class will be posted as Friends Only. This means that you will not be able to participate in the class unless you fill out one of the two surveys and are added to the class roster.
I'm hoping to see a great deal of participation in the revived
ch_astronomy ! See you in class!
