Issues 6 and beyond
We're in the process of reading the last of the submissions for Issue 6, and we've just about finalized the other content as well. I have to say, I was very impressed with the quality of submissions this month - I was worried that a less mainstream SF/F-mixed-genre like Western would make people shy away, but authors seem to have risen to the challenge and we've received some truly wonderful submissions! Thank you all - our final choices for which stories to accept are going to be hard to make, but it's a problem we like to have.

In case you haven't seen, we've just announced the genre for which we're currently accepting submissions, which is

We know this is a pretty popular subgenre, but we weren't expecting multiple submissions within the first 8 hours! Keep them coming! This is for Issue 7, to be released in June.

We've also made a slight change, for the benefit of submitters; on the Current Page (near the bottom) we've given a sneak preview of Upcoming Genres we'll be asking for! This is mainly to give writers and artists more time to plan and work on their submissions; sometimes, trying to work something out within an unfamiliar genre in only a month is difficult. Hopefully this will help alleviate that problem. Take a peek!

As always, thank you for supporting us as we've gotten Crossed Genres off the ground. We're finally getting into a real groove, and we think the magazine's getting better and better! We'd like to hear what you think of everything we're doing: please email us at feedback@crossegenres.com.
