Well if it makes you feel any better, I cried when I wrote it. And when I reread it during editing. I hope they were happy tears for you though :-)
this better not be the last I hear of you ok?
Oh, it won't be. My "other projects" include J/A stuff.
First of all, thank you for posting this. I've had a hard day today and this was exactly what I needed. It was perfect.
Glad I could help! And so glad you liked it!
I just. I don't even know how to respond to all of this.
That's sorta how I felt when writing it. I mean, I'm not really trying to make anyone cry, but I guess I'm just glad I'm not the only one that had an emotional response to this :)
I love the fact that she knew about him loving Annie forever
I loved that part as well. I remember someone once talking about two friends of theirs and saying how "they're just so in love. Even when they're not in the same room with each other, if you mention one around the other, their eyes just light up." That just always stuck with me. And I can imagine Jeff describing the Greendale hijinks to his mom, and not even realizing the way he acts when he talks about Annie.
you should totally write the scene of them meeting.
Haha, well it's one of the epilogues I've considered :)
The confrontation was handled amazingly and Annie running up to him and hugging him is perfection itself.
*blushes* Thank you!
Also you just had to go and kill me with that "you should kiss me or you might regret it for the rest of you life" line didn't you?
Heh, well I did remember after writing it what you said about that line always making you cry. So sorry...
THEN you had Jeff realize he wants kids with Annie.
This is another potential epilogue haha
At first I thought Jeff was going to propose to Annie.
So is this.
But this was so much better.
Thank yoooouuuuuu! Marriage is certainly an important step, but I felt like this was something he needed to do first. He has that realization "holy crap, I want this woman to be the mother of our children" and he also realizes that he's been dishonest with her for years about his feelings. And in order for them to have a healthy relationship, he needs to change that and finally be honest with her. And also to realize that he can truly be honest with her, and she will love him no matter what.
(This was when I started crying by the way)
*hugs*
It's hard to believe that a fic that has been going since before season six is over. I have enjoyed every moment of reading it and I am so glad that I got to know you through it.
I'm having trouble getting used to the idea too. But thank you sooo much for reading being so enthusiastic about it! It helped a lot to keep me motivated and see it through to the end. I'm also glad to have gotten to know you through this!
The ending of it is bittersweet-- they get their happy ending but I don't get anymore fic.
Bittersweet is right. I am going to miss writing this. But I am not done writing.
Also Collide is the best bar none.
Haha, I have continued listening to this while writing the last chapter :-D
Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments throughout this story! And especially this one. Words cannot express my appreciation.

*Does the happy dance Annie does when Jeff agrees to investigate the ACB case with her.* YAYYYY!!
Glad I could help! And so glad you liked it!
A better word for it would be 'loved'!!!

Oh believe me, you're not. I can't even explain what I felt but it was all good. It was just so *right* while I was reading it. Everything surprised me and yet it all made sense.

This. This is exactly what I was picturing. Also I head canon that this was how Britta finally got over the whole "Jeff choosing Annie over her" thing-- when she looked at Annie while she talked about him and figured it out.
*blushes* Thank you!
It's all true.
Heh, well I did remember after writing it what you said about that line always making you cry. So sorry...
Are you? Are you really?
JUST UGH. THAT LINE IS SO PERFECT AND HEARTBREAKING ALL AT ONCE HOW DO YOU EVEN LIVE AFTER HEARING IT???
This is another potential epilogue haha
How annoying would it be of me to demand that you write ALL THE EPILOGUES?
Thank yoooouuuuuu! Marriage is certainly an important step, but I felt like this was something he needed to do first. He has that realization "holy crap, I want this woman to be the mother of our children" and he also realizes that he's been dishonest with her for years about his feelings. I agree with all of this. I think one of the main problems with how they ended it is that we never do get to see Jeff be 100% honest with Annie. And yeah it's one thing to be like 'oh Annie knows' or 'he didn't want to hold her back' but it still hurts/bothers me that he never was. Him being honest with her is the biggest sign that a) he's ready to be with her and b) that he's finally trusting her. Because Jeff has NEVER told Annie 'yeah I love you' and I think sometimes people forget how important that can be. Especially when you've been told in the past that you're just reading into things. (Seriously how has Annie hung on this long?)
That got rambley again, sorry!
*hugs*
*hugs back with tears streaming down my face from the perfection of this moment.*
Seriously there's just something about a good love confession, amirite?
I'm having trouble getting used to the idea too. But thank you sooo much for reading being so enthusiastic about it! It helped a lot to keep me motivated and see it through to the end. I'm also glad to have gotten to know you through this!
I'm still not used to the idea! I keep expecting to hear that you've updated it.
Thank you for writing it and encouraging my comments! I enjoyed getting to know you too and you should know that I now come for the comment discussions as much as I do for the fic!
Bittersweet is right. I am going to miss writing this. But I am not done writing.
Yay!! Plus possible epilogues? YES? YES?
Haha, I have continued listening to this while writing the last chapter :-D

Thanks to you it is now their song in my mind.
You're welcome! Thanks again for all the responses that just encouraged them. <3

Ok good ;-)
It's just you know when what you're getting is everything you wanted but didn't know and you just have to cry? That was this chapter.
Does that mean you've forgiven me for Chapter 19? I felt like Jeff needed to be broken down to his lowest point so that he would finally be forced to face up to his fears. Only after the wounds have been scrubbed clean can they begin to heal properly. So even though I hated doing it to him and Annie, I felt like it was necessary. And that ultimately it will lead Jeff to a better place emotionally and the two of them to a better place in their relationship. Jeff is starting to learn that he and Annie can overcome anything together, so he doesn't need to be so afraid.
*Does the happy dance Annie does when Jeff agrees to investigate the ACB case with her.* YAYYYY!!
No squealing.
........
Ok! Squeal...

You're making me all verklempt again.
Are you? Are you really?
Well it's one of those things where I knew what I was doing, but I had to do it haha.
THAT LINE IS SO PERFECT AND HEARTBREAKING ALL AT ONCE HOW DO YOU EVEN LIVE AFTER HEARING IT???
Don't ask me, I died on June 2, 2015. Fortunately I can still type though.
How annoying would it be of me to demand that you write ALL THE EPILOGUES?
Well, it's not annoying, it's flattering! But I know what I'm going to write next, and it's going to be very fluffy. I need something soft after all this heavy emotional stuff :-D
Because Jeff has NEVER told Annie 'yeah I love you' and I think sometimes people forget how important that can be. Especially when you've been told in the past that you're just reading into things. (Seriously how has Annie hung on this long?)
He sort of did, in the Jeff Winger way. But I agree with you, I wish he had said the actual words. Hope points for the movie! As for Annie, she's a saint haha.
Seriously there's just something about a good love confession, amirite?
Especially from a guy like Jeff :-)
you should know that I now come for the comment discussions as much as I do for the fic!

YES! YES!
