Great brainfog moments. (crossposted to my own LJ)

Yes, brainfog is horrible.

I really liked draicania's brainfog story, it reminded me to laugh about it, and reminded me of this exchange that I once had. Anyone else want to contribute?

Not so long ago, I went to the optometrist to get my eyes tested.

And she said "can you read the bottom line?"

And I said "yes."

.......and just sat there....

OMG! That is sooooooo cute!

It's her fault. She should have said "Please read the bottom line". Doesn't she understand that we function on a different level from normal people?

Mine does. But that's only because I've been seeing her for about 6 years or so, and now I work for her.. ^_^

Towards the end of uni about 6/7 months ago I was having great trouble getting up for and remembering my lecture time table. I'd missed the last three of this particular lecture because I just couldn't get up. So up I got and off I went to my 11am monday lecture on research methods in psychology. I walked in late sat down looked at the bord and started to panic. I had a test next week and none of the stuff on the board looked even remotley familiar, then come to think of it the lecturer didn't look familiar either and I was positive that we'd had the same guy for the last 4 months. So after 15 mins I finally turned round to some guys sitting next to me and said "erm is this psychology?". The looks on there faces and the laughter was enough to tell me that my lecture was in fact an hour later. I hurridly rushed out of the lecture hall with everyone staring at me totally embarassed, only to do exactly the same thing two days later.

Aaaieee!

and Yikes too!

I'm not able to study, and when I got sick I'd been working for several years (I'm now 37) but for a couple of years after I got sick I had nightmares rather like that! Usually I'd be at school or uni, going into an exam, but unable to find the room, or read the exam paper...

Scary stuff. *sympathy*

lol yeah it was quite scary, I thought I was actually either having some seriously crazy nightmare or that I'd totally lost my mind. Turned out to be the latter! I can't study either atm, I decided to drop out of uni during the xmas break when I found myself pouring orange juice on my cearale with no idea how or why I was stood thier doing that. Oh well...

Oh. I'm really sorry to hear that.

Just keep on looking after yourself, okay?

My brain's not brilliant, but it's getting better, if that's any comfort.
