The first teambuilding exercise is now starting! The eight characters who applied in the previous post are to go through an MMORPG-esque ten-level dungeon in two teams of four. It is a race - the first team to reach Level 10 will receive a prize. The scores for these activities will also be recorded.
Each character, upon entering the holochamber and joining the program, will be met by an NPC and given their Mission along with being asked to choose one of five 'classes' for themselves which will then determine what role they play in the party, as well as what weapons, spells and items they receive from the NPC. Think of this as an interactive character creation screen. To appear in the game, post here as a separate thread to be met by the NPC, then join your team's thread.
The classes to choose from are:
Warrior - high attack, can use any melee weapon, low magic
Knight - high defence, lances and swords only, low speed
Medic - high magic, can use all white magic, low defence
Sorcerer - high magic, can use all black magic, low defence
Thief - high speed, can steal items, knives and bows only, low magic
Once they have completed this section, they will be sent to their respective entrance to meet their team and start the game. The teams are as follows:
Roxas, Dark, Matt, Leo and Saguru, Juugo, Moonie, Tamaki.
Characters can attack people on their own teams and it will not cause a shock. However you will lose points and gain the ire of your other teammates, so it is inadvisable.
The area looks like an ancient temple, full of monsters, traps and treasure. Crumbling stone and looming statues of people and creatures - mythical and otherwise - make the main impression. Dark staircases take you to each level, and the deeper the groups go, the more labyrinthine and complicated the corridors become. The surroundings cannot be destroyed despite their old appearance, and any attempts will just cause temporary cracks or marks in the stone that fade quickly. Characters cannot progress to another level alone. All four team members must be present or the way up will be sealed with an invisible, impenetrable barrier.
The Scientists' journal (feit_speakers) will be used to narrate traps or monster encounters, or to give extra information should a character look around or try to interact with something.
Upon entering the chamber, which is a small, plain room with a padded chair towards the back, your character must sit down. Upon doing so, they will find themselves floating in a mist-filled void. If they make a noise, it echoes around them. They cannot move from where they are floating, but they may move their limbs and head any which way they please.
