Illiteracy
If you don't know how to properly use a word, or have absolutely no idea how it is supposed to be spelled or what it actually means, do the world a favor and don't bother trying to use it. Its irritating.
Here's an example: "The ownus lies with the masses."
While I commend you on your (sorta) knowledge of an uncommonly used word such as "onus", it would be far more effective if you could actually spell it. Otherwise you just look like an ignorant asshole trying to appear smarter than you are.
