Penis Disorders

There are several disorders that can effect the cialis, ranging from swelling to impotence. Some of them require the attention of a trained physician. Some can be dealt with at home.

Swelling of the foreskin, called oedema, can result from sexual activity. As long as the foreskin remains in its normal position and there is blood flow, it is practically harmless. But if the swelling continues, be sure to see a doctor.

Not being able to move the foreskin over the glans because of trapped fluid is called paraphimosis. This happens when fluid is trapped in the foreskin because of intense sexual activity and can be treated at home by squeezing the head of the penis between thumb and forefinger to reduce the size and to be able to return the foreskin to its correct position. Using ice has also been known to help. However, if the condition continues for several hours, see a doctor.

Peyronie’s disease is one of the most common penis disorders, resulting in a curvature of the penis caused by anomalous scar tissue. Surgery is usually needed only in severe cases. For less severe cases, a penile traction device can improve the curvature up to 60%.

The pudendal nerve can be damaged by accidents and hard cycle seats. Pain upon sitting and a loss of sexual sensation is an indication of damage to this nerve.

The penis can also be torn or excessive bent. Penile fracture should be treated as soon as possible in order to prevent permanent damage. Head for the emergency room.

Priapism is a painful medical condition in which the erect penis fails to return to its nonerect state. Potential complications include ischaemia, thrombosis, and impotence. In serious cases the condition may result in gangrene, which may necessitate amputation.

Lastly, the probably best-known disorder of the penis (all those television ads?) is impotence, or erectile dysfunction, commonly known as ED. If you cannot reach or maintain an erect, see your doctor.
