Questioning Society

Amazingly I am going to write about something that isn't so much emo but that of my opinion.

Last night as I was laying my head down to sleep I pondering on that of all those "Right to Life" people. Those folks that seem to cry foul on anyone having an abortion, assisted suicide or anything else that might help in the death of a human. Why is it that they have all the power to have bills being written or passed to prevent such?

Do they honestly want people to suffer, or that of the planet even more? Are these the same people who think it is humane to allow their beloved pet to get the injection to ease their passing or to condemn a criminal for his crimes yet continue to deny the same for someone dying of terminal cancer or has been in a comatose state or pregnant with a child they know they can't afford to take care of. Do they stick to their beliefs yet carry in their medical records orders saying to pull the plug should they themselves get into such positions? They who burden financial systems with unnecessary expenses every year for the cost of caring for a child that no one wanted one that might grow up to be a criminal, or the patient who should have died 6 months into their illness and is just lying in a hospital bed attached to machines that prolong their life but one that is nothing but endless pain and misery.

What is it that drives these people to stick to their opinions when basic sense says otherwise. Would it be the brainwashing they get from their religious establishments, or from the government who keeps piling on mounting debts and promises but seems to be bogged down in countless red tape.

These are all things that I questioned as I tried to get to sleep last night (Which I managed to do amazingly). By writing this I am not trying to be seen as an emotionless person but this is what was going though my head last night and only my opinion so please don't think of me as a bad person. I do good in taking care of my mother and her needs day after day.
