She is a bit small but very healthy. She's absolutely beautiful, if I may say so, with very black eyes, long lashes, and lots of black hair. Her skin is quite fair, and her lips are very full and pink like Megan's.
Megan, unfortunately, is not doing terribly well - she had been going into Diabetic Ketoacidosis, which is why her doctor wanted the C-section. She'll be fine with some rest, but she's feeling pretty miserable right now, and hasn't been well enough to see Marukh yet. She'll probably see her tomorrow. Because of her condition, she definitely won't get back to school to teach the end of the spring semester, which I know depressed her because she's quite close to her students. But I'm sure she'll cheer up after she sees our beautiful daughter.
I've finally had the chance to read the comments here, and even thought I don't really know anyone, I was really moved to see so many sweet messages. Our whole family really appreciates it. I know you won't be disappointed when you see Marukh, she's dazzling, although I'm obviously biased, and already very lively as well.
If anyone has a message for Megan, I'll be sure to print it out for her to read once she's feeling a bit more alert.
