But You'll Look Sweet by
frankkincenseTennessee/Ryan. One-shot. In which Ryan meets a girl in an apple tree, who accidentally drops a book onto his head. This fic is like fields of daisies and blue-eyed puppies, oh my god, so charming. This Tennessee and this Ryan are the best Tennessee and Ryan. (PG-13)
While the Sun (Doesn't) Shine by
shihadchickCassadee/Jersey/Alex. One-shot. Recency AU. In which Jersey is a gentleman, Alex is his secretary, Cassadee is a lady of quality masquerading as Alex's friend Mr Pope, and all of them are caught in the most awkward moment in the hayloft any of them never wanted to be in. Couple of tense issues, but otherwise this is awesome. A sure hand with the Regency style and there's a mixture of boisterousness and pining that works really well, and some lovely characterisation. (PG-13)
Asimov, the Deleted Scenes by stele3
Lyn-Z/Gerard. One-shot. In which Lindsey passes out on the sidewalk and wakes up to the hundred tiny demented robot faces of a reclusive inventor, all staring down at her. This is more kinds of awesome than I can even deal with. The little robots are pointless and weird and awesome, and Gerard is pale and weird and anti-social and also awesome, and Lindsey immediately decides she wants to kiss him. Which is awesome. I really love their dynamic in this fic. (PG)

Asimov, cont'dLyn-Z/Gerard. One-shot. More in the Gerard-and-his-tiny-weird-robots 'verse. Everything was great, was amazing, until Lindsey realised that Gerard was building a sexbot that looked a little like her, and she had to bail. Damn, this universe is so great. (PG)
If I had a (War)hammer by
shoemasterAlicia/Mikey. Ficlet. Mikey and Alicia build a dog house. There are a few annoying typo issues, but oh fuck this is so cute. SERIOUSLY. (PG)
Every Word Rang True by
harborshoreZ/Charlotte. Ficlet. Z couldn't actually break off all contact with Charlotte, she couldn't imagine doing that. Oh, I love the idea of Z too mad at Charlotte to talk to her, but not able to not talk to her either. This is a sweet story with a great pairing dynamic. (PG-13)

After the Nile by
joandarckFraser/Kowalski. Long novella. Post-Call of the Wild. Ray and Fraser get as far as Maggie's town, and hit a smuggling ring. This is a decent Ray/Fraser story, but mostly I saved it for one particular moment of Fuck yes Maggie MacKenzie. (NC-17)
The Teeth of the Hydra by Resonant
Fraser/Kowalski, Stella/Kowalski. Novella. Tattoos, lipstick, love, and the long path to becoming Ray Kowalski. Basically. The Ray/Fraser in this is good, but really this is the epic story of Ray-and-Stella, and it's excellent. There's such a good sense of a relationship that shaped both of them, such a nuanced and real thing, so that even when Stella is wrong or breaking Ray's heart, it doesn't get my hackles up. And the way the Ray-and-Stella wraps up, the final nod to them in the fic, got me just right. (NC-17)
An Officer and a Gentleman by
laurakayeFrancesca/Welsh. One-shot. It was an impulse of fellow feeling that made Welsh pick up the tab for the uniform drinking bad coffee and staring out the window. My very favourite Welsh moment in the show is the way he reacts to Francesca bringing up applying for the Academy, and seeing them like this, Francesca the beat cop who finds she wants different things these days but is still so Frannie, and Welsh the same as he always was, honourable and susceptible despite all the world-weary and hard eyes... I love them. This got me exactly right. (PG-13)

Four Fights Cyrenacia Sidonia Romney Haðraaða ov Brakespeare and Juliet Buchanan Fyrdraaca ov Fyrdraaca Made Up From, and One for Which They Never Got the Chance by
jadelennoxGen. Ficlet. The friendship between Buck and Tiny Doom. I’m fairly sure Tiny Doom wasn’t mentioned in the first book (the only part of this universe I’ve read), and I barely remembered who Buck was, but I enjoyed them here immensely. This is such a fantastic portrayal of this world, all the linguistic curls perfect, and the spirit too, harsh truths and dark things approached with a flippant smile and a stiff lip. Some spellcheck issues, but they get lost among all the invented words. (G)
Who-verse
They Grip the Ground by
giddygeekOne-shot. Vaguely Jack/Ianto, but mostly a team fic. You don't need to know or like Torchwood canon to think this fic is awesome. Seriously. (G)
The Care and Feeding of Tiny Humans (And Slightly Larger Time Lords) by
netgirl-y2kEleven & Amy gen. Ficlet. In which the Doctor comes back for Amelia hours rather than years later. Darling ficlet about the ways in which travelling with somebody rather small is not quite something the Doctor is used to. (G)
How to Fly the TARDIS with Two Left Feet, a Piece of Interdimensional String, and a Toasting Fork by
themadlurkerAmy/River. Ficlet. In which River and Amy have twelve hours to save the Doctor and Rory. Feels a tad more Hitchhiker's Guide than Doctor Who, but this is charming as all get-out. Has a really great reveal and turnabout in the middle. (G)
