The more I play FFXII, the more I hate hate HATE the gambit system. I want nothing more than for it to die die DIE. The problem is, with the way the world and enemies are set up, it's a pain in the butt to do everything manually. Sure, it looks cool, but it still bugs the crap out of me. Also, why does everyone have to pause to take out and put away their weapons? Can't walk and chew gum at the same time? And how is it suddenly more difficult for them to move at a regular pace with weapons drawn? You know, in an instance that one needs their weapons out, accidentally poking out someone/thing's eye out is not such a bad thing.

I also am not so fond of the licenses as, in order to FIND what I want, I have to save my game, start unlocking at random and hope I run into it, and then reload and start all over (because I usually go in the exact opposite direction from where I NEED to be going) and once I DO find it, I have to reload AGAIN so that I have enough points left over for the next thing I want to equip. And, of course, I'm too disturbed at the espers going to only one person to actually license one for anybody, so that's a complete waste right there.

That said, I ♥ Larsa and want to see him again rather than everyone plotting around him. The main characters are pretty cool, too, but I really don't think anyone can be as amazingly awesome as that boy.

Money has never been so easy to acquire, I just wish the equipment level would go up at a faster rate. I suppose, though, that if it did, I'd have to fight around even MORE to get the stupid LP so that I could get the ability to equip it and still have a surplus of money, so ... oh well.

I am very confused about the benifits and disadvantages of using a certain weapon over another. I know that there are some because results vary when I use a sword or axe, I just don't know what they are, specifically. I'm just giving everyone whatever's strongest, but I don't know that that's the best plan of action.

Apparently the rains have come. I am not excited to go check out the new landscape, but I suppose I should eventually. More screwing around, first.

... I don't know why people in my hall have such issues obeying quiet hours, but apparently once they start, it's a prime time to do things like play your French horn down the hallway or play tag. Everyone on my floor has already gotten an e-mail because someone (not me, I'm too lazy for such business) has complained to the RA about it since they actually use the time to sleep. I ... can sleep through a lot of noise, so it doesn't particularly bother me, but it must suck to be a light sleeper in college.

And, for the record, it strikes me as odd that our clock is doing that pre-hour song chime thing at midnight. Oi.

.... yeah, I don't know what got into me with this one. I felt the need to ramble and no one has been particularly available to pretend to pay attention for a while (save the short time the hobbit was around the other day). One of the drawbacks of being a recluse is that there is no one to tell the stories of your life. Ho hum.

final fantasy, grar!, ffxii, alone, blah, omg bored, hm, life, video games, i might be weird
