“I’m having a drink. Whaz’it look like I’m doin’”
“You passed the ‘a drink’ mark about two bottles ago is what it looks like.”
“Well, I gotta lota memorializin’ ta do.”
“You don’t say?”
“Ya know how I didn’t fight in that there war a yers? Got reasons fer that. Reasons I ain’t proud of. Just rememberin’ folk better than me.”
“Or trying to forget…”
“Yeah, mebbe that too.”
“You mind some company?”
“Nah, memorializin’ goes better when ya share it.”
“Can’t fault you on that.”
“We all got folks we ought ta remember I s’pose.”
