I've tried to make each story work well on its own, but without the entire series, I'm not sure how much sense it makes overall without the backup. The more I write her, the more I start to feel a little more sorry for what happened to Marietta, too. Thank you.

First thought that came into mind was, "Youch! GO ZACHARIAS!" I'm mentally catcalling at him and her. But Cho's attitude is very platonic, and I think Zacharias just likes to find those little things to latch on to, yeah?

Can't wait for more from you, as usual. Thoroughly enjoyed Zacharias' attitude. He's so real in his anger, and the bits with the rest of the Hufflepuff team were a great addition, because we learn that it isn't always about him. Zach needs a wake up call.

Yeah, most definitely. It's actually what's been the most difficult thing to do, limit the story to Smith's perspective. What he sees happening isn't always what's exactly going on, no matter how perceptive he probably thinks he is. But in terms of writing, it's a fun limit to play around, and makes me work harder.

Flustered!Zacharias is probably the cutest thing ever, because he's blunt and still snarky and is trying desperately to maintain his pride. XD I'm really liking how you're characterizing Cho, too, have I mentioned that before? Yours are probably the only fics I've read that largely involve Cho - not that I don't like her, I just... eh. Anyway. Great work!

It's amusing how, when he wants to say something smart, he's unable to do so, and he simply falls back on characteristic Zacharias blunt honesty instead. Reading this fic, especially, seemed to me like reading one of those Where's Waldo children's books, because whenever you least expect that guy, he shows up, and you do the same with canon here. Between mentioning Marietta's condition, and then what Ginny did and the match ( ... )

I always like to adhere to canon whenever I can, but the Where's Waldo comparison made my day. Now I'm going to be thinking about that everytime I read a fanfic (All right, find the canon, find the canon). I was originally hoping to use Hannah sometime in the story, but realized by now in HBP she was at home mourning her mother.

I think Slytherin's just happy to see Lee Jordan gone.

This was just lovely. Your angsty!Zacharias is still so sweet - you write him extremely well under every kind of situation, and you give him the dimension and life he lacks in canon. :D

And I'm really glad to see that Cho finally opened up to him. Aww. :3
