So i was cleaning my room yeah. I found my old calculator! CASIO fx-3600Pv. And what was the first thing that i do with it? Make my own calculations as to when typhoon Nuri will actually hit us. Actually i just want to keep track of the sustained speed in km/h as it comes nearer.
LOL.
I don't watch the Cantonese news but my cousin told me how yesterday afternoon they said that hoisting a signal 3 is highly unlikely?? I hope they didn't say that... But what do i do anyways? Get mad at the HKO for no reason because when i looked at the typhoon position myself yesterday i already know that a possiblity of getting a signal 8 is there, latest 2 days later. I've even considered the possible change of track (through mean wind speed data etc.) but no matter what, it won't move away enough to completely let us go without giving us something worth of a signal 3. Ah, leaning against the balcony railing feeling the uneven gusts of wind attacking my face is so refreshing XDDDDD
I was cooking dinner and then the fire died (the kitchen window open and there's a constant breeze that "bends" the fire). I went totally D= and turned it on again, it let out a loud boom and died again. A pocket of gas must've stayed hovered near when it died first. Scary x__x yesyes don't worry, i'll be more careful next time. But anyways back to typhoon, i initially had contradictory opinions based on 2 calculations but i'm leaning more on 1 of them. Following that, the chances of us getting a signal 8 by at least 0600 later is unlikely, which i believe is what the HKO have with their calculations too. It'll most probably be hoisted up sometime between 1000 to 1400 tmr (today) << they didn't say that okay, this is my own calculation -___-;; I definitely can narrow it down every hour from now though (i intend to do so anyways). I want to see what the sunrise will be like next morning because it looked so horrible today.
Anyways did you all see the 100x4 relay? The US teams messed up so badly!! I cannot believe the women's team dropped the baton, to me it's the 3rd runner's fault =/ (they repeated that scene so many times...) and the last runner actually kept waving her hands all over the place. Sorry i forgot their names but that was one heck of a bad pass. When i run relays, me and my team mates focus so much more on passing rather than how fast you should run. Yes it must've been very nerve-wracking and you're nervous and you're representing the USA but the pass is like EVERYTHING. I've never dropped the baton...ever D= i was taught to slap the baton hard into the palm of the next runner's except i don't get to do that alot since a majority of the time i run last. The 3rd person always has the highest chance of catching up, it's the best place to do so if you're "amongst the crowd". I feel more pressurised if i have to run 3rd rather than 4th actually. I've run 2nd, 3rd and 4th before but never 1st. I'll definitely snap if i have to run 1st =x
