venting in progress
Gah, what is it today...first one of the personal cd players I got for the kids I look after for their birthday has stopped playing cds (I only gave them as pressis Tuesday evening and they had only used them). Ok that's annoyance number one.
Annoyance number 2 is my beetroot cake, it was perfect when it came out of the oven, good shape, colour and smelled great. It got a tiny bit stuck to baking paper at the bottom but since you can't see the bottom of a cake its no biggie. I used a plate to turn it out of the tin and when I turned it back onto the cooling rack the top of the cake got stuck to the plate. Its now got a huge crater on the top...cake isn't salvagable as its for the kids school fete and I don't have time or ingredients to make another one...so annoyed...I always use a plate to turn out cakes and this is the first time one has ever stuck...
I'm glad the banana choc chip muffins came out ok...let's hope nothing else goes pear shaped today...
