Scruffy Update
Scruffy was updated on all shots, vet checked, and started on monthly preventative meds. She had the mats shaved out of her fur, and was given a bath. Total vet bill reached about $200 with discount. We didn't manage to have her professionally groomed, because the money ran out quick.
This past Sunday she was placed with a wonderful family, that simply adored her. Unfortunately Scruffy did not get along with their other female dog. She also had accidents in the house (she's never done that in the past- so I'm thinking it was anxiety over the other dog) while there.
Jim went to Alabama to pick her up tonight. She's currently back with the man who had her previously. He's not going to take her to the pound or anything like that, but with the number of hours he's working, and with the kids, he can't give her the love and attention she needs. I'm back to caring for her as much and as often as I can- but I can't be over here each day.
