Haiti has been hit by another strong earthquake, only eight days after Port-au-Prince was devastated by a massive earthquake that left up to 200,000 dead.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that Wednesday morning's quake hit at about 6:03 a.m. ET, with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0. It was centred about 56 kilometres northwest of Port-au-Prince, and struck at a depth of 22 kilometres.
