Probably a stupid question
Hi all. I'm new to this community.
I'm a 21 yr old female with Mixed CP, mostly effecting my lower body but also affecting my fine motor as well in my hands.
I used to go to Shriners Hospital for Children in IL, but I'm now aged out and can no longer see them. I'm now in the search for a new doctor.
My question(s) is (are), where do I go? Who is knowledgable about adult CP? My current problem is I'm having a lot of joint pain and a lot of stiffness and am worried about arthritis, I'm also having more difficulty walking then I used to and I'm not sure if it's the CP or something else. So I want someone who knows enough to be able to say "oh no, that's normal with the CP" and not have to go through a million and one tests to find that out. :)
I don't know if I should just go to an orthopedic doctor, or the neurologist, or who I'm supposed to see about this. Where do you go once you no longer have a pediatrician who was knowledgable about the topic of CP?
