Hi, I'm wondering how long people are affected by a spasmic 'episode', if that resonates with anyone out there with spastic CP. I understand that these can be brought on by overuse/underuse of muscles, cold, lights/noise, stress, lack of sleep, emotions, cold/flu, PMS, etc. Basically, except for the lack of sleep, emotions and stress, I've hit 'em all this past week and a half.
Since last night, my upper back hasn't quit. Two days ago, just sitting down my left thigh and right calf I felt go haywire. Since a week ago, my lower back and affected rt weak have been spasmy and weak. For the past 3-4 days I can't hold anything but with two hands, and both shake now with a slight tremor if I hold something. My heel spurs are also acting up, a separate issue but compounding the problem.
Can anyone relate to this at all? With weakness continuing after rest and reducing the above triggers as much as possible? Does anyone improve or stay the same after these episodes? Is it something that happens more often as we get older?
Thanks for any feedback.
