Things I hate
I was thinking today about how there are certain things in this world that seem so horrifically evil and insidious as to make me physically ill just thinking about them. Topping the list are:
1) Objectivism and a belief in unregulated capitalism (especially the writings of Ayn Rand)
2) Pyramid or Multi-Level Marketing Schemes (especially Quixtar)
3) Industrial Agriculture or Factory Farming (especially the American poultry industry)
Of course, other things such as child abuse and world hunger are also very upsetting, but what gets me about the above three are the much more subtle ways in which they perpetuate what, to me, seems to be some pretty unadulterated forms of real evil.
