good news and bad
Well, the good news is that Geoff's flamenco troupe came down from Harrisburg yestaurday and had an amazing show at the monthly coffeehouse he and some friends have been having at the synagogue. It was a lot of fun, there was a pretty good crowd and I think everyone enjoyed it. Afterwards, the dancers and some of our other friends came back to my house and I had a dinner for everyone. I tried to do a French theme with quiche and asparagus soup, and it was a big hit. Everyone really seemed to like it, and it was a fun evening.
The bad news is we took our dog to the vet the other day before we leave on our trip, and they found out through a routine test that he has lyme disease. I was pretty upset because the vet wouldn't tell us that he'd definately be ok if he takes his medicine, but she did say that since we caught it very early (he has no symptoms yet) that he's got a good chance. So, he takes his antibiotics once a day for 30 days, and then we take him back in December to see how he's progressed.
