They took Oprah off of her IV yesterday. The neurologist wanted to check up on her once more but he thinks she can come home today. Lots of little victories: We got her to eat some baby food last night. She's acting more and more like herself, except it's like Oprah Plus. She's so much more alert than she has been--looking around and reacting to sounds (mostly dogs barking in the hospital). She's super affectionate. She's happy to sit in our laps for hours. Although she's still a little wobbly she's definitely able to walk around on her own; her coordination is better every time we see her.

Lovely weekend: seeing family, my amazing friends, time in the garden at last, lots of yummy food, sunshine, sleep.
