Came back from my 4 days 3 nights Chiang Mai trip on the 5th April. It was REALLY fun despite the weather and it's kinda tiring coz we went out from 7am and came back at 9pm the earliest. Chiang Mai is indeed a beautiful place. So....let's see some pictures shall we? XD
We reach there around 9 something and we were hungry and thirsty. Met with our tour guide and waited for our transport thinking that we get to have our breakfast but the tour guide told us that it's hard to find any restaurant that serves at this kinda hour so we headed to the plantation farm. Our very first location. With out thirst for drink and our hunger, my mum made a lot of noise during our trip to the Plantation Farm. hahaha
anyway....here are the pictures....I'm so so glad that I bought Satio XD
this is the Plantation Farm entrance
this thing looked like an umbrella but i really dunno what is it XD
this is the plants at the side of the entrance
my mum and my aunt
this weird thing....it look like some coconut but actually it's not
our group picture...less one people (my cousin bro) coz he's the camera man XD
this thing...i dunno what is it. It looked like a dark hole if you look into it from front
this is one of the "house" in the plantation farm. It has different country's plant and scenery but I forgot which one is this. Btw, the pics here are not complete coz there are some in my cousin's camera.
this is a temple in the Plantation Farm. It's really huge and beautiful
these are lavenders at the side of the walkway towards the temple. It's so pretty~~
this is the side (or the front?) of the temple...you decide yourself which is the front and which is the side XD
we had our lunch in a hotel and after that, we went to a temple which i don't know the name. Hang there for around half an hour, listen to some stories before heading to our hotel to check in, rest for a while, then took a shower and went for massage. we had thai massage and it's really GOOD. this was my first time massaging but it's really good. 400 baht for 2 hours and I fell asleep during the massage coz I didn't sleep the night before coz our flight was at 7am so we have to leave at 4am. took 20 minutes nap and that's all. all the way until 12 midnight the next day XD we had our dinner after our massage. the food was called the emperor/king's dish. that was what the emperor of Thailand ate last time. saw a bit of the show before heading back to hotel to rest.
Day 2
We left the hotel around 7am and our first destination is the Orchid Farm.
at the Orchid Farm before entering the Orchid part, we passed by a tiny butterfly farm and these are the butterflies. I was so excited coz I LOVE butterflies XD there was one butterfly that was really beautiful but I couldn't capture it coz it's moving non-stop -.-
and....to the orchids~~ those orchids are really pretty....
now to the elephant riding~~ it's really fun riding it although is very shaky especially when the elephant is going down the slope.
this is the top view of the elephant that we rode
oh....our elephant is 49 years old XD
sorry for the horizontal view >.< i didn't realise the elephant has such a beautiful tooth until later...stupid me XD i was told by the tour guide that this elephant is one of the best elephant there coz it's the only one with such long tooth and it's really huge compare to the other so I'm glad we took this one.
this is where we feed those elephants. we bought 20 baht worth of bananas and sugar canes to feed them. and you can take pictures with the elephants and they were trained to place a hat on your head when you're close to them to take pictures.
they're really cute. there was this one smaller elephant trying to grab food from people but because he's small, all the foods were snatched by those bigger ones and he was making noise when he didn't get any food and then almost all of them knew how to lift up their trunk, kinda curl it and wave the tip of their nose making a gesture like how we usually call someone to come. i went all "awwww" and *dies* when they did that and that's what the small fella did XD we pitied him so we bought another 20 baht bananas and sugar canes just for him *grins*
now onto the bathing part.
i love this picture...see how he sits reminds me of baby...LOL
they're really having the time of their lives bathing there.
there's a few more but I'm just lazy wanna upload XD
and after this was the show.
the picture below is actually both elephant in front was holding a sign saying "welcome to chiang mai something something" but I took out my camea quite late so I just manage to capture this.
look at how they hold each other's tail....they're really really cute. I'm not so fond of elephant before this but now....i love it. they're too adorable. no wonder jaejoong love elephant so much XD now i know why jaejoog love them so much...hehehe
they're demonstrating how to get up and down from the elephant
this is the elephant vs my cousin brother in dart. my cousin bro was dragged in by the tour guide during our journey there in the van. the tour guide sorta asked then when it comes to the dart part, the tour guide came over to my cousin bro and pulled him out XD
guess who won?of course...!!! the elephant XD and the elephant was so cute. he sorta patted my cousin bro's head with his trunk as a sign of consoling...hahaha
then, it's the drawing part. didn't capture any pics here but I manage to capture their drawings. don't doubt the drawings. it's really drawn by the elephants.
this is the ending. look at how they curl up their trunk. this is how they call people to come over with the tip rolled up. this elephant called me over to take picture but I don't want so I took a picture of him instead...hahaha
after this was the snake show. everyone was so scared that they sat at the 3rd row. it was quite near actually but I sat on the 2nd row instead.
this is a cobra. i don't know it's which kind of cobra...hehehe
they asked but no one dare to take picture with the snake like this boy did.
and again, this is another cobra which i don't know which type whether it's a king cobra, a normal cobra or a thai cobra.
after this, we went for the monkey show. didn't take any pictures also. it was kinda boring though the monke show. and after that, we had our lunch at a golf course. it was a buffet lunch. the food was not bad though. and after lunch, we headed to the long neck village. this is also another kind of experience. the tour guide told us about their history and all and we had a look on how they live. this is to give the children, especially both my cousin sis witness with their own eyes how those people live ad what they do for a living so that they'll appreciate things they had. the tour guide told us to buy some candies to give out to the childrens in the village and never had i seen a children so happy upon receiving a candy. they were literally screaming when we took out the candies.
this girl is said to have the sweetest smile and she's pretty though. it's such a waste that we didn't take picture with the tribe's longest neck woman.
after this, we headed to the leather factory. the goods there were rather expensive. a normal handbag costs around 50k baht. equivalent to RM5k O_O my aunt bought a pouch and my uncle bought a belt. then after that, we went to the honey shop XD they sell honey, pollen and royal jelly. we were brief about the differences of honey and stuff and the use of it for our health. sampled some honey and had some honey drink and my mum ended up buying 9000 baht worth of honey, pollen and royal jelly.
and after the honey thing, we went for a bowl of bird's nest. they sold it for quite cheap. a LOT cheaper than Malaysia. and after that, our steamboat dinner at a hotel nearby the night market. went to the night market afer dinner but didn't manage to buy anything except a pair of shoes and my mum bought a watch. you REALLY have to bargain until you bleed...hahahahaha
went back to our hotel around 9 something did our stuff then had a good sleep. I watched tv until 12am though XD then went to bed.
