2. How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?
I have a whole mess of characters being that I'm trying to write a whole mess of novels here. I don't prefer one gender over the other because that's stupid, however I have noticed that I tend towards defaulting to female when creating a new character. Who knows the root of this habit, but I'll never say it's a bad one. Maybe my subconscious is just trying to make up for the lack of variety among female roles in your standard genre fiction.
