All day I was a busy bee.
Journal, I saw a movie tonight - “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”. A friend and I hadn’t spent quality time together, strengthening a bond that has lasted over eight years. He needed some company and someone to feel like “it’s ok”. See, I know this because I know him. But, I don’t think he knows what is okay… but I hope he gets his life in order.
In any event, the movie was good. Tall Jason said that he saw it and thought of me. I thought the movie was ok, but the plot was typical. The acting was decent and I loved the happy ending. AND, I was most excited by the romance….. especially by Orlando holding Helen so close. “Am I holding you too close?” It reminded me of dancing down in the spicy south with Marcus and Bunny. In any event, I was so thrilled to see the romance that Helen projected… the yearning for something so much more after having someone who treated her like poop. It was nice to see her heroic act: to win herself over and gain self-esteem. When she found it she was like a happy kid, energized with lust and humor. It was so excellent - the romance, I mean.
