Still here.
I have had jelly issues... I guess I just need to forget any instructions and put 10 boxes of pectin in each batch. Sigh. One more batch to go. Then I'm done. 24 or so jars already. Of varying intensity.
Heard from the boy again. He's busy. Got moved to the lower bunk since his roomie on the lower one now sleeps most of his nights in another room. Which is great. He has the top bunk if he needs it, but he's rarely there. Himself is getting around. He bought a ticked to Six Flags, apparently there is a trip there in October. One problem, he wanted us to send him money. Even though he has a LOT of it in his bank acct. But the catch is, he doesn't want to spend HIS money, he wants to spend our money. Okay, A+ for teaching our kid how to save his money... D- for teaching him personal responsiblity for his own ass. UG. lol Well, this is all part of College and growing up right? Managing your own money, not managing mom and dads. Its cute in a way. Yeah, there are still some rude awakenings on the horizon. But he's having fun too... that's good.
Oh, and I won 3rd place in my catagory at the art show. I'm UBER thrilled. Last time I think I won anything was for my sculpture, and that was always a very low entry catagory, so the odds were in my favor as it were. This was a serious competition with probably at least a hundred entries. Now if only someone will buy it... hrm...
