I should have had a girl.
So it's been a week, I've gotten minimal responces to any querries or information I've IM'ed him, and while he did call today, it was while we were away, and um, I IMed him that we were going to be away, so WTF? Come ON! He said he'd call back, and here is is 11pm and nothing, though when I IMed that we were going to bed and he could call tomorrow, he picked that up right away and said he would. Well pardon me for interupting your life. UG. Throw me a friggin bone will ya? I'm glad he seems to be doing well, but I have some things I need to make sure he's attending to. And yeah, I'd like to actually hear from him to hear how things are going, classes, who he's meeting, what he's been up to.. like normal things that you want to hear about when your kid goes away to college. Or am I supposed to just ignor him and all he's doing for the next few months?
We went up to NH overnight which was okay. Nice to see my mom but my step father is still a bit out of it with his new knee, and didn't go to lunch or breakfast with us. I hope my mom doesn't loose it with him being so dependant. She's not the most patient person. And he's not the best pateint either I don't think. I hope the knee works out though. It would be better for both of them.
We did meet the new dog. They go a 'used' collie who is 5, and is a totall love. His only flaw is that he is petrified of gunshots or loud bang like noises. He has already gone through the one window and she has to make sure the windows are down if she leaves him in the house while she is out, or he goes in the garage when she leaves to go anywhere. I hope he doesn't go through the glass some time. Ug. He is really a nice guy too. Very affectionate and handsome. And at the moment his breath isn't bad. Lets hope like heck they keep up with his teeth.
That's about all at the moment. So happy the weather has broken again and it's nice out. I hate the humidity.
I've started my grape jelly process. Juice tonight. And only half? if that of the grapes picked. This will be a good week to do the jelly, with it being cool. I hope.
