Something Fun:
Rythter and I are going to go see Hal Holbrook portray Mark Twain at the Weymouth High School this month. Yay! We are taking himself to this 'once in a lifetime event'. I say once in a lifetime because quite frankly, how much longer does Hal Holbrook have? I love Twain, and this should be great fun. I think I read it was Mark Twain's take on current events.
Something Funny:
I got an e-mail from Plow and Hearth advertising great new cast iron cookware. It's teflon coated non-stick so there is no need to season. So, the entire reason you buy and use god bless us heavy cast iron cookware is because when you season it just right, it becomes non-stick. So why in the world would anyone want god bless us heavy cookware that is already non-stick? Wouldn't you just buy some quality non-stick cookware that didn't break your wrist or smash your sink every time you used it? Hello? Or am I missing something?
Oh, and I just mowed my lawn, maybe for the last time and am proud to say I did not use my power mower once this year, even though it was a great grass growing season. And I set up my rain barrel today so we'll see what it catches as this cold front moves through and brings showers. I'm so excited.
