On a tear!

You know, I just looked at how long that entry was and thought, gee, I should have put that behind an LJ cut. Then I realized, no one reads LJ anyway... so why bother. (sigh)

On to other things.

I saw an osprey today fishing in the little pond the swans live in. I thought it was a goose trying to take off, and it turned and I saw it was the osprey, he circled a few times then left.

I also caught sight of the wood chuck this morning. They have been few and far between in recent years thanks to the coyotes. They are cute, until they dig a hole in the ground and literally pull out body parts. Not cool.

It's been raining cats and dogs and groundhogs here. Going to get worse tonight. No Biv today or tomorrow. I was hoping my brother would have gotten the part for the transmission done, I need to get that back together, working or not, just to get it out of there.

I got a circular in the mail today for a crematorium device. It's Eco Green Cremation System. I have seen something like it in one of the cemetery magazines. It sounds quite frankly, disgusting, and I'm really not sure how 'green' it is. And I wonder how great a company this is when I cant even find a web site for them on line? This is basically it.

I'm wondering how they can claim to be totally environmental when it comes to flushing what's left of your loved one down the drain, with the lye used to decompose you. Many people are still being embalmed, even if they are cremated. Does this process someone neutralize the embalming fluid? I doesn't really explain. More info needed please. Oh wait, there is a site. It's on the pamphlet. Silly me. No, never mind, there is no 'there' there. I stand by my original ug.

So I am constantly hearing about the "SHOCK" abuses of the Catholic church, which has now reached as high as the infallible Pope. Guess what people, it ain't over yet. The Church systematically covered up for this crap from day one. I'll bet you can go back to the beginning of church records, if you were ever allowed into the archives, and find this has been going on since Peter first took over for Jesus. Well, maybe not quite that long, but pretty close. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and the Church had that power up until very recently, when people actually started questioning their authority. And no, abuse is not at all limited to the Catholic Church. It just seems like they really had the system down pat.
