Happy Daylight Savings

Apr 05, 2009 09:48

Thanks to modern ingenuity, my alarm clock, which predates the change when we switch to Daylight savings, informed me this morning when I woke up and noticed it, that it was 9:45, which when translated to real time meant that it was half and hour earlier, 9:15. Since I am supposed to be at my father's at 9:30 for pills and coffee, I quickly got dressed and dashed out the door. When I got to my father's it was only quarter of 9. I assumed I had just miss-read the clock this morning, but when I got home and discussed it with Ryther, we realized it was not my problem reading the clock, it was the clock's problem. It was an hour ahead. It changed automatically for daylight savings, which in the olden days of three years ago, would have been today.
So I lost 30 minutes of precious sleep this morning. Never a good thing, never a good way to start the day.

On the bright side, I did get to watch more of Sunday Morning for a change.

time, sleep
