Nothing to say.

I feel like there are a million things to comment on, but when I sit down at the computer, I am a at a total loss for words.

My father, who had been doing very well to date, has finally begun to feel the effects of the chemo. He has no energy today. I just hope he hasn't caught a cold as well.

We went to see Coraline today with Himself. It was OK, but I didn't think it was compelling, nor anywhere near as good as Nightmare Before Christmas. I've never read the book, but I thought it was just 'eh' as far as a story goes. The animation was neat, as claymation always is when it's done well.
On the way into the theater Himself spotted a kid he knew from school, a jock type, but one who was a friend in the past. The kid asked what Himself was going to see. He wasn't going to say, but dad piped in "Coraline". Himself didn't appreciate that at all, letting a 'cool' kid know he was seeing I guess what he sees as an 'uncool' movie. But the hilarious thing was that when we took our seats, behind us was a group of boys that Himself knows and is friends with from school. So I hope that helped him feel better, knowing his friends picked the same movie, rather than sneaking into Friday the 13'th or something.

I did hear that some banks were going to half foreclosures for a time. Three weeks I guess from the article. Isn't that what they should have been doing from the start of the bailout?

Mortgage rates are creeping down again, almost time to do that refinance I think. Although I have talked to the guy who took over for the woman who retired, and I just don't like him. Almost like I think I'd be better off just letting things go. God knows I never have good luck with these things.

On that subject, I'm giving my front load washer a negative review. While it may use less water, I'm very skeptical that it uses less energy. It runs longer for one thing, seems to require hot water even when you set it for cold. And it walks across the floor. Or inches I guess, depending on the load. That wouldn't be a problem with my old washer, I'd just push it back, but this thing is a beast. Very heavy with no handholds. I can move it now (barely), but what happens when I'm older? I guess the good thing is it won't probably last 10 years. When I'm 50, I'll go back to top loading machines, which I guess they make as low water ones, so that might be the way to go. I had such high hopes for the front loader. I can't even tell if it washes better. I haven't gotten too dirty this winter. I'll have to wait for the mud season.

Valentines day was pleasant. Simple and pleasant. Although I did have to work. And the funeral was long and late. Ok, let me revise that. It was Okay. The second half was better than the first. But the funeral did go well, no slipping in mud or anything like it could have been.

Ryther has the day off tomorrow, but we have to get up early for the paper. All three pages of it. We should go look for a car. lol Oh, did I mention the VW's check engine light came on again? Yeah, the sticker comes due in a month. I've come to expect this yearly routine. Perhaps it's time for the third coil pack replacement? Ho hum. Gotta love that German engineering.
