Is it over yet?

Today went better. I think not having to wrap gifts helped. Not running around buying things, getting meds, or other such things also helps. And having time to have a fantastic prime rib cooked by your father in law is also not such a bad thing. lol

The pump my father has for his antibiotics has screwed up twice now, once last night, and then again today. The same nurse looked at it today as set it up yesterday, and we thought it was all set, but no, it still screwed up. She did make a note today about getting a new pump. I hope that happens soon because this is just rediculous.

I got a call today on a potential funeral, but I have to check out the grave site first. I'll probe it tomorrow and see what's what, but honestly, if they think they can just keep putting bodies in, they are mistaken. It's an old lot, with a huge monument on it, and that takes up half the lot. They have three full burials in now, and I think they want two more, and now they want another. At least that is the impression I am getting. If it were a cremation, it would be no problem, but it doesn't sound like it will be. It would also be nice if the ground was frozen, but its not, and it doesn't look like it's going to be any time soon.

Christmas was very nice. Low key, no big gifts, but nice things that I wanted. Except for my salad spinner. Turns out my NEIGHBORS got the salad spinner that I wanted. That's the joke gift that isn't a joke to me. But everyone says "you don't really want a salad spinner!" and I say YES I DO! Anyway, I'll just have to take my greens next door.

I got two books on pastels, which is nice since I got pastels for my birthday and don't quite know what to do with them. I'm hoping this helps. Also a nice book about grave stone images that is really neat. Although I didn't find any from my cemetery, I do recognize many of the images and carving styles, if not the same carvers. I got a book years ago about the same subject that went pretty in depth about the carvers. This will be a good compliment to that book.

My husband also got me a t-shirt that said something like "I'm away from my computer." It was pretty funny. I love fun t-shirts. I love Threadless.

Most of the snow has melted away. There are still piles and some patches of lawn with snow, but some lawns are green again. Such a strange year. Not sure how warm it was today, but its not seasonable, that's for sure.

Eartha Kitt has died. To me, she will always be Catwoman, with that fantastic purr of a voice.
