Happy Leap Day!
Did I tell you about my sugar problem? My local convenience store switched sugars, and the new packets seemed smaller and I was using more sugar to get the same sweetness? Well, they finally got the regular store brand packets in, and I swiped one of each and did a comparison this morning. And I was right! Dixie Crystal sugar is half a teaspoon, Tedeschi food shops is 3/4 of a teaspoon. HA! Southerners sure are not as sweet as Mrs. Moose claims.
Buddy Miles, the one time drummer for Jimmy Hendrix and the man behind the singing of the California Rasins (some of you all might be too young to remember that) has died. He was 60.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/02/28/buddy.miles.ap/index.html Normally this would not be of much interest to me, but for the fact that Rythter and I have a long history with one particular broken armed California Raisin that came home with us from Bush Gardens in 1988. I also miss good fun commercials like the California Raisin commercials. They just don't seem that fun anymore. I think the last good commercials I can remember were the "What's in Your Wallet?" series. Or some of the "Priceless" commercial. But most of those that I really like are actually parodies.
I bought a bucket (and yes I mean bucket) of Nestlé's Toll House Cookie dough. BAAAAADDDD ME! BAAAAAAAAD
I got a reply to my K-cup problem. Of course I had just written back asking where their reply was when I found it in my spam box. They are going to send me a replacement for the K-cup holder, and said that I should not tighten it hard, just loosely. OK, I can do that. But it should be designed so you can't crank it shut, there should be stops to prevent that if that is a problem, Me, I think if it can be tightened, it probably needs to be, unless instructed otherwise. Live and learn.
Well, I'm just going to hop off to work and be bored out of my mind. It's 20 degrees in the sun right now. But by Monday or Tuesday we are supposed to be in the high 50's? If not 60? Gack!
