Yesterday morning I went out for a quick 2 miler to stay loose for the long run today; end of the tenney pier; lots of stretching and a stop for ab workout. Used the old shoes; I'm going to have to retire them soon because the heel plate and padding is almost completely worn out. I'm kind of attached to them since they were my first marathon shoes.

Today was my long run; I did a 16 mile loop around wingra and along the bike path, and still managed to bike back and forth to the university today. 2 gel packs used, at 1:13 and 2 hours. I felt pretty good on time; I'm not exactly sure about the distance because of the bike path curves, but my time was 2 hours and 33 minutes, so I may be under 10 minute miles by 20-30 seconds. Nothing really hurts yet...we'll see what happens with my swim tomorrow at lifeguarding tryouts. I'm not too concerned, actually.
Getting ready for the big end of the semester research/paper writing/finals cramming crunch. The next few weeks are certainly going to be interesting.
