Just briefly checking in

I'm sorry I'm not much of a presence on here these days, but I do have good ol' LJ in the back of my mind often. I am in my first semester of grad school and it is KICKING MY ASS, but I love the people and I can't imagine myself anywhere else. So, sorry I'm a bit off the radar, but hopefully once I get past the first term I can be a person who happens to be a student again rather than the Latin slave I have to be right now. It will still be hard, I know, but at least I'll have the one term of experience under my belt to reassure me in the dark nights of staring at a German text when I don't actually know German and wondering why the dickens my professor decided I should be able to read this--or something.

Also, because it seems to be funny to my friends in Real Life, I'm thinking of doing an every weekend or every other weekend post on something entirely entertaining I've discovered that week, like swimsuits talking about Slimming Your Circumference or bumper stickers that say My Pomeranian is Smarter Than Your Honor Student or something (both of which I've seen, actually). How does that sound to people?

Oh, and I almost forgot the quiz! Happy Hallowe'en!

You Are Compassionate

You have deep and genuine feelings. You are a very caring person.

You're the type not to make a fuss. You're more likely to sit back and figure out how you can help.

You're not looking for a lot of attention on Halloween. You're just happy to put a smile on someone else's face.

You believe that Halloween is mostly for kids, and you want to make it as special for them as possible.
