I'm going to be reading the rest soon but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this first part. The storyline is very believable and I love Love LOVE the interaction between Dick and Logan. Dick retelling him about Veronica freaking out is so great and the thought of Dick and Veronica bonding is sweet. Also Dick being so concerned for Logan is a wonderful touch. People forget that Logan really is the only person Dick has left, and as stupid or frat boy-ish as Dick is, that means something to him. Great dialogue, everyone was in character and great. I'm off to read the next part!

Thank you! The Dick scenes were SO much fun to write, especially when the rest of the story is kind of angsty. And I figured the only way Dick and Veronica could ever be friends at all is if they bonded over their concern for Logan (since he is the only thing they have in common!)

Loved this first part so much.

Logan's dreams of Aaron and Duncan were just hear breaking.

What am I trying for? There’s nothing for me here anyway. It’s all so hard. It would be easier to just let go…let…go… <----That just made me want to hug him and punch him all at the same time.

Loved Logan's covo with Keith. I always wanted those two to actually talk, understand each other. Logan has issues but he isn't the bad guy Keith sometimes treated him like.

As always Dick was endlessly amusing. I really enjoyed his and Logan's interaction. Logan really is all Dick has. Dick and Logan were funny and touching.

Dick's description of how Veronica had been was amusing. Veronica would drive everyone crazy if something like that happened to Logan. That girl hates not being in control.

It'd be interesting to know what Dick, Veronica, and Keith were doing and saying while Logan was unconscious. See it all from their POV.

I totally agree. I think a good dad (and former cop) like Keith would have had more understanding and cut Logan a little slack.

First of all, I totally suck for not commenting on this yesterday : ( But by the time I actually did get to sit down and read it, I was too tired to leave a proper comment. So I hope I can make up for it today ; )

You have to know (if you didn't already) that Post season three fics are my favorite!! I love it when they take off from the series end. I really love the whole Gorya storyline you gave it here. I thought the whole thing worked so well. Poor Logan, though... I hated the thought of him waiting for Veronica. He was so sure she was going to come and just when he gave up hope, she did, but it was too late. The story of their epic lives.

I did! I figured that was the case, since most of your stories are post-series, but I cheated and looked at your vm_santa wish list to make sure. :)

I'm glad you're liking it--especially the Keith/Logan part. I like the idea of them bonding (obviously) because I think they have a lot more in common than they know. I think Logan, in a lot of ways, is a young Keith (snarky, hotheaded, overprotective) but with more money and bad parenting.

And Dick just cracks me up, so I had a lot of fun writing that part. I figured he would have gotten a crash course in medicine and learned a lot that he didn't know before. :)
