Hey people.

Guess what?

Just because something isn't shoved in the audience's face doesn't mean it's not there. There's this thing, see, it's called subtlety. Now, I don't have much of it myself, but I can recognize it. And it's actually a good thing when telling a story.

And honestly? The movie we're talking about wasn't actually very subtle with this theme. There's tons of evidence for the fact that the White Queen is fucking psycho. No, no one comes out and says it. Despite what you guys seem to think, coming out and telling you this would be bad storytelling. Especially in a movie.

The fact that no one tells you straight out that the White Queen is nuts, but you can infer this from various plot details, lines of dialogue, and nuances of Hathaway's performance IS. A. GOOD. THING. It implies skill on the part of the writer and the actress.

Then, you know, there's the interviews. The ones were Hathaway actually SAYS this is her interpretation of the character. You don't even have to look very hard to see it.

So stop sitting in a theatre expecting the writers and director and actors to spoonfeed you every theme and moral. Get a brain and start observing the plot and the nuances. Think.

Okay. I'm done.

(Random note: WHY DO I FEEL SO BLAH???)
