Ooookay, so it's already january 13 aaaand I'm still writing my Christmas-new Year post >_<..
A week or so before I quit my job, I've been kinda busy digging up and resurrecting my social life that it went a tad too far in my opinion. Teeheehee. Well, that was because my movie marathons turned quite literal. Here are the examples:
Late November, watched Skyfall and Breaking Dawn Part 2 (I still don't like sparkly vampires. just went for the heck of it). This is how it turned out.
Mission Impossible Skyfall: running from one side of the cinema to the other because the movie is about to start.
Breaking Dash: Because we're sure that a line of Twihards will be waiting, we've decided to immediately go to the next cinema. At first I was relieved to see that there was no line, but it turns out that they're already inside hahahaha. Well, we still got good seats :)
Early December: Sundate with Team Perfect. We've decided to watch the Php 25.00 movies. We chose some action films and we also did some breathtaking feats. Here are the movies we watched:
Colombiana and From Paris with Love: The time limit we had between the end of Colombiana and the start of From Paris is about five minutes, so we had an agreement that as soon as the credits roll, we will make a dash out of the cinema and run to the next one,
December 8, 2012: Rise of the Guardians and Rurouni Kenshin wit
castelfranca.
This one has a tighter schedule than when I watched the Php 25.00 movies. Yes, we had to really be quick and even with that, we still missed the first few minutes of the movie. The cinema was full and they even put extra chairs along the aisle. It was a fun experience.
December 9, 2012 House at the End of the Street and Rurouni Kenshin (again)
The most challenging movie marathon for 2012. I was able to get Free Movie Day tickets for me and my mom (for House) and the screening is at 3pm. I've already decided to watch kenshin again and so we went to the mall earlier to buy Kenshin tickets. Unfortunately, most of the Kenshin screenings are already sold out, and because I really wanted to watch it agaion, I bought the 9:30pm screening.
So here's the problem, the gap between 4:30+ and 9:30 is really wide and my mom did not inform my uncle to bring food to my grandma (because my mom expected us to be home by around 8), we've decided to go use the idle time and go home so that she can also change my grandma's diaper. Well, here's the catch. So House ended and we're about to go home. But then there's this queue of people lined up and upon hearing that there's going to be a parade of lights, we decided to stay. The parade was great, and there was a sentai-like presentation with the LED lights on their costume changing and I was like: "Ma, SMAP'S Hikari!!!". The show ended at about 7 and so we had to really rush home. Thankfully we were able to return to the mall at about 8:30, and even if we're that early, there's already a line in front of the cinema. We did get good seats and enjoyed the movie.
By mid December I started working again, and I will leave that for later because I have some silly misadventure stories to share. So far things are running smoothly, thank goodness.
On December 30, I had a chance to go out with my SMAPpy friends (and co-admins of SMAP PH
castelfranca n
miladyness. We went out for Karaoke and enjoyed seven hours of good time! I'll post some of the recordings I made from the said event because I'm so proud of Miladyness' beautiful voice, and for Cas-chan's cuteness when she sings. There was just one teeny bit of a downside though. When I sang Gackt's Last Song, my mind suddenly went blank when I realized that the video playing on the screen is THE ACTUAL PV!!!! OMG!!!! My mind just snapped and I tried taking shots of the screen whenever Gackt's in it but to no avail. *sigh*. We've decided to make it an annual thing, and hopefully we can keep it up.
On New year's eve, I had a bit of a problem. I did my new year room clean up and it ended at about 5pm. After resting for a while, and then a shower, I decided to go out and buy our food (yeah, I buy, because I pity the kitchen if I will cook). I had already planned lasagna and pizza but to my horror, Greenwhich was already closed. I then made my way to the supermarket to grab a bottle of wine and met with my mom who was also buying ingredients for our dinner. Afterwards, we took home the groveries, and I set out one again in search of a main course. I had no choice then but to commute. and seriously, it was a risky thing. As early as 8pm or so, firecrackers are already going off, even at the middle of the road. The jeep I was riding had to stop twice because of firecrackers in the middle of the road, and that was just on my way to pizza hut. During the ride home, the jeep had to stop about five times, ot just because of the firecrackers, but also for those people holding out buckets for some kind of donations. It was really dangerous, but thankfully, nothing bad happened. When the year finally turned, I was able to watch SMAP on CDTV, I only caught Orenji, Hikari, and Arigatou, but since I watched it with my mom, I consider it a very good start of the year. :)
Have to sleep now, I'm still having Monday trouble at work. My body still can't find a way to go around Monday.
