Word count fulfilled

Another Writo de Mayo goal = done.

Today was Critter's last day of school. I wanted to get as much done as possible, and I did. I finished the EMT reading by mid-afternoon - it went fast since most of it wasn't relevant to my story - and then I started writing this evening. The "men" were busy watching the Penguins hockey game. Yes, even Critter is watching now. He has taken a sudden interest in hockey and is obsessed with his Hat Tricks Count: A Hockey Number Book and likes talking about Wayne Gretsky. Go figure. But I know to take advantage when the kid is distracted, so I went to work.

1,500 words. I finished the rough draft of "Playing Dolls with my Sister." I'm not sure how it actually turned out yet, but at least it's done.

With that, my new words goal has been completed. Now all I have left is the behemoth task of finishing this never-ending textbook and using it to edit Normal. I don't think I'll have everything done by the end of the month, but I'll continue to try.

"Saguaro Waltz" 4,437 words
Poem - Valley Spring 67 words
"The Good Wife" 3,511 words
Smith magazine - 64 words
