Avulsions, amputations, and lacerations, oh my!
My EMT book is getting gorey on me.
Today I read through sections on soft tissue trauma and burns, complete with graphic pictures. Admittedly, they do help, but I tend to be squeamish about that sort of thing. It's kind of funny, really. I have an intense interest in medicine and healing, but I can't stomach it. I probably would have gone into the field if I had the confidence and gore-tolerance. Instead, I write about it.
My other big task was to organize the file cabinet and my writing records. That was a two hour effort. I print out hard copies of the stories I submit, and I discovered I hadn't printed out several. Everything is now caught-up and organized and I even dusted the top of the file cabinet. I should clean my computer desk, too, but I don't know if I'll do that tonight or not. I like having a little clutter.
