Regarding Twitter
I like Twitter. It's a fun and casual way to network, but it's also overwhelming. When I'm busy, Twitter is my last priority. I already have LiveJournal, Facebook, and several email accounts waving for attention. Twitter just feels a lot harder to keep up with.
I started using Echofon because the Twitter web page kept crashing Firefox. I especially like Echofon on iPad--no accidental clicks while scrolling! Easy to read! The problem is I don't get to check Twitter often, and Echofon usually only shows the past 2-3 hours of posts. This annoyed me at first because I was missing so many posts, and then I realized it saved me a lot of time, too. Mixed blessing.
So if you need to get my attention on Twitter, you might need to talk directly to me, @BethCato. I do try and participate, but if it comes down to writing/revising or Twitter, the choice isn't that hard.
... unless I really, really need to procrastinate.
