Bridal Veil Lake

Is Beautiful! Matt and I hiked up there tonight in the dark, it was amazing, really quiet and peaceful. plus there were these cute little mice that were in the brush gathering foodstuffs...oh and we saw a bat. The falls were steep and shallows so we got right up at the base of it and looked up, at the top there was a tree that split the falls. It really did look like a bridal veil. It was hot even in the night so the ice cold water felt good on my face and I really wanted to jump in, but I had to get home before midnight! I cant wait to go back in the day and see lake serene as well (2 mi. past the falls on one of the forks) so beautiful though, and there was a little cave under the falls that I am going to explore some day. Matt and I are going on a picnic up at the falls sometime this summer! Im excited because it was beautiful at night dimly lit by a flashlight, so I cant wait to see it during daylight! When I saw the falls I was so happy and relieved we had enough time to get to see it and just the sheer beaty of it all. I started to cry, I was so overwhelmed but  they were good tears. I started out wearing a dress because we were going out but I ended up wearing a spare pair of matts pants and a tank top along with my new converse which are now dirty and nicely worn in...Its nice to know I can wear matts pant should something happen to my clothes. they fit pretty well except they were really long but they fit nicely below my belly button....made me happy to have something to hike in.
