sometimes i feel like i love and get excited about things so much i'm gonna POP.
i feel excited. I havent felt excited in awhile. i have a job interview for a job I really want.
i watched Hiroshi Teshigahara's Antonio Gaudí documentary which really affected me. I've been teaching myself to be very aware of the way my camera moves around buildings, how my body intends to visually interpret these structures and the lens types that will help me do this even more deeply. I can't wait to start lugging my gear around without having my fingers freeze and camera controls stiffen.
Teshigahara eventually stopped making films and pursued other ventures such as constructing architectural installations, like the bamboo one above. This in turn made me think on, Vito Acconci who left conceptual art to pursue architectural design. What I appreciate is that both artists make no clear distinction between their previous artistic lives to their later ones. Most artists contain their past in some way.
