The Lover, Chapter 45 of Anywhere Out of This World

Feb 05, 2008 20:32

I finally have the latest chapter of Anywhere to post tonight. It's been through a few re-writes, partly because I had written the Xander-Andrew bits much earlier, before the Andrew/Dawn pairing had a lot of shape to it. Aww, what's the meat head gonna do now? He really has to stop butting in to other people's relationships - as if he's such the expert!

I'll read later tonight, hon, as I've got stuff to do for a while still. Good to see you back with an update. :)

Meat head... heh. That is an accurate term.
Thank you so much!! I feel so out of touch here. Maybe it's because I work with so very many 12-year-olds.

And when I ask the question, 'What are you, 12?' They answer, 'Uh, yeah.'

Most of my interaction is with a boyfriend who's either spewing computer jargon or WoW details, and his dad who's pretty much still stuck in the '70s, and has the manners of a teen - so yeah, same boat. What's it like to talk to grown-ups? :D

But, I've been a fic posting fiend this week. Yay!

Yay!!! I've been a grading fiend. Remember how you said your Mom's papers took over parts of the house. Mine are becoming like that. There's a maze of papers. Insanity!! Insanity!

On an entirely different note, I've been seeing a new boy who is capable of carrying some deep philosophical conversation. It's been pleasant.

I cannot wait to start reading Choices 2. Perhaps that will be my reward for this weekend...

Ooo, a smart boy? Score!

Be thankful you're not teaching high school? It'd only be worse. :)
