After scraping the ceiling labouriously for days, I bought a new scraper. graylionhas now done most of what was left with casual scraping, none of this lean-your-whole-body-into-it stuff. From this we learn that a)life remains deeply unfair and b)expensive tools are worth it. Which I knew already.
Today I get to correct exams, oh joy. My cold is finally, after sufficient sleep, yielding a little and becoming manageable. I will celebrate this by trying to get through the exams and essays that are giving me an increasingly guilty conscience.
