WEEK OF BUSY
Holy schnikes! I had a mondo busy week. So, a lot of the teachers are out of town still for the holidays which put me in the position of covering several more classes. It was a very busy weeks. Barely time to breathe..but not completely swamped as it had been say 6 months ago. I had a blast teaching the accordion to all the little kiddies. :)
Friday night, D. and I recorded the live set so that my prospective band members could start learning the songs. Saturday Night, I met with Manager Lady and we discussed the outlines of what will be a sort of master plan in terms of how to make this year successful. Saturday was actually very busy...I had a new piano student (not through the school) who happens to be a well-known television and film actor. It ended up being an awesome lesson. He loved me and wants to continue lessons with me. YAY!!!
Also, for christmas a very good friend of mine GAVE me his iPhone 3g - didn't sell...just gave. Which couldn't have come at a more opportune time since my current iPhone was half if not almost all the way dead due to an unfortunate rain-on-windowsill accident. I was more than touched by his absolute generosity. The way the world is right now where everyone's just trying to make a buck off of anyone...this random act of kindness sent a glimmer of hope into my black little heart.
So, on Saturday I spent 4 hours resetting and syncing my new iPhone 3g. It took a little longer than it was supposed to and thus kept me up till about 2:30am. Not good since I had to wake up at 6:30 the next morning for a private lesson. Eep!! But, it all worked out and now I'm the proud owner of a 16gb iPhone 3g! Yay for working phones!!! :)
I'm behind on my photo uploading but not on the photo taking. I've got some great shots that I look forward to posting tonight. I also may change the format again to be more of a "picture of the day" type thing to get a real grasp on each day of the year. Exciting!! I love new personal archiving projects!!
Also...a few days ago J. and I celebrated 8 months together. :)
