I like Rod Stewart. Maggie May is one of my all-time favorite songs. Still...the man needs to be stopped. My mom saw the guy in concert a few months ago...and now I'm forced to listen to the latest cd she purchased of his...a cd of horrific covers by some great bands.
How bad is it?
It opened with his cover of the C.C.R. classic "Have You Ever Seen the Rain". It sounded like karaoke!!!! Seriously...I feel like I'm in my neighborhood Acapulco, sipping a watered down margarita watching Mr. If You Think I'm Sexy sing all the classic rock hits. Now he's mercilessly butchering The Pretenders "I'll Stand By You".
Why god why?!?! Is this aural assault some kind of punishment?!?! Did I piss you off somehow?!?!
